Simple crochet project that my wife wants me to make. I'll need to make a handful, since the facial cloth will be included in gifts to family members.

These farmhouse spa washcloths measure about 10″ X 10″ so they are nice and large.

Lily Cotton Sugar ‘n Cream yarn (1.5 balls or about 180 yards)

Using a double strand of yarn, make a slip knot and chain 31

Row 1: SC into the 2nd chain from the hook, then DC. Alternate SC, DC across (your last stitch will be a DC), CH 1 and turn your work

Row 2: SC, DC across, CH 1, turn

Rows 3-20: Repeat row 2

Row 21: SC, DC across, when you get to the end of the row, CH 1

(Be sure to always start your row with a SC and end your row with a DC)

Edging: After chaining 1, place 3 SC into that corner. Then place 1 SC into each stitch down the side of the cloth. You will now be at another corner. When you reach the corner, remember to place 3 SC into the corner stitch.

used 6.0 mm hook (us J 10).

two yarns at the same time.

same type of cotton yarn.

both were on cones.

something "Cream". i need to find the labels.

both yarns were thin. seem like sport weight to me, maybe DK.

chained 21.

crocheted until 9.0 to 9.5 inches square.

then added single crochet border, making final size around 10.0 inches square.
