7:28 p.m.

I birdwatched along the lakeshore from approx 1:00 p.m. to 6:20 p.m. The sun poked through the clouds a few times, but the weather was mainly cloudy to overcast with some light snow and then a mix of snow and rain and then light rain late in the afternoon and early afternoon. At times it was windy. Temps were in the mid to upper 30s. A bit raw out, but decent enough for Feb 1.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

Winds will gust up to 55 mph at times into tonight. Winds should

A strong low pressure system moving through Colorado and an arctic

snow may be heavy at times, along with some blowing snow. A
Winter Storm Warning is now in effect from late Sunday evening

Strong winds will be possible mid-to-late next week. These strong
winds will create areas of blowing snow and hazardous driving
conditions Wednesday and Thursday.

.Spotter information statement...

Spotter activation will not be required at this time.

12:03 p.m.

It's another overcast day. Light snow fell during my 45-minute walk with Barney this morning. It's nice out. Little to no wind. Temp around 32 degrees.

All week, Monday through today, we have experienced little to no wind, which is odd.

I'm headed out birdwatching along the lakeshore.
