Toledo restaurant to try tonight: Whiskey and the Wolf. It exists at the spot occupied by the Elbow Room.
Alexis Rd, a little east of Secor Rd.
This place has a small but interesting menu for a bar-type of eatery.
Food and beverage menu from early April 2019.
Deb and I, along with our neighbors B and K, had a good time this evening, Fri, May 3, 2019 at Whiskey & the Wolf. Good food and beverages. It's a small setting. The place was busy. We arrived around 6:30 p.m. We waited at the bar for a while for a table to open up. We left around 9:30 p.m.
I drank a can of "Crunchy Hippie" beer, brewed by Ernest Brew Works. Then I drank a double, neat of 15-year-old Glenfiddich single malt Scotch. I also drank some of Deb's old fashioned.
I ate the vegan burger called Impossible Burger, which was shockingly good. Even the gluten-free bun was impressive. It's amazing what these newer vegan companies can create.
One of our appetizers was the charred broccoli, which tasted great.
I can see this being a regular spot for us. Good food and beverage menu. Cozy interior. It's a short drive.
The two owners were seating people and helping behind the bar. The place opened four months ago.
