5:20 p.m.

It's still sunny with a mostly clear, bright blue sky.

This morning around our home, I heard the Golden-crowned Kinglet, the White-throated Sparrow, and the Northern Flicker.

Flickers are migrating now. I heard flickers bellow yesterday in our neighborhood.

Fox Sparrow foraged on our backyard about an hour ago, on the west spirea bed, near the big oak tree at the southwest corner of our yard. I wonder if it's the same FOSP, hanging around, waiting for a better time to migrate.

The little flowers blooming on the backyard that grow with lawn grass-like stems are blooming now in colors: blue, purple, and white with a hint of blue.

8:07 a.m.

Sunny, pleasant spring morning. At least 10 juncos foraged on our backyard, and two more juncos were singing their rattling trill.

Show HN: Ddgr – search DuckDuckGo from your terminal (github.com)

From the author's comment, posted at HN:

ddgr is a cmdline utility to search DuckDuckGo from the terminal. While googler is extremely popular among cmdline users, in many forums the need of a similar utility for privacy-aware DuckDuckGo came up. DuckDuckGo Bangs are super-cool too! So here's ddgr for you!

Unlike the web interface, you can specify the number of search results you would like to see per page; more convenient than skimming through 30-odd search results per page. The default interface is carefully designed to use minimum space without sacrificing readability.

A big advantage of ddgr over googler is DuckDuckGo works over the Tor network.

ddgr is available in the repos of many distros as well as on PyPI.
