3:52 p.m.

Bright, sunny day with the two inches of snow cover and clear sky. The city, however, has not made their second pass for leaf pickup. It's a bit messy in spots where the snow plows pushed leaves along the streets. And leaves protrude through the snow cover.

Definitely looking frigid for Sunday and Monday. Coldest air of the 2018-2019 season by far.

area forecast discussion
national weather service cleveland oh
634 am est mon jan 14 2019

.synopsis...
high pressure located from quebec to the southern plains will
control the weather into this evening. a weakening cold front
will move into the central great lakes this evening and stall
near lake erie. a stronger piece of low pressure will track
across southern ontario into quebec tuesday night into
wednesday. as it does it will drag a cold front southward across
the region by wednesday afternoon.

&&

.near term /through tuesday/...
added some patchy dense fog to the forecast along the eastern
edge of the lower clouds this morning. sps was also issued to
cover the potential of some ice on elevated objects, including
bridges and overpasses. the worst of the fog will be across the
mid ohio region.

previous discussion...
high pressure located from quebec to the southern plains will
control the weather into this evening. a weakening cold front
will move into the central great lakes this evening and stall
near lake erie. this will end up setting the stage for some
light precipitation by tuesday afternoon as the warm advection
begins to increase ahead of a stronger clipper type storm system
that will arrive tuesday night. some light snow/flurries or
maybe some drizzle could develop but confidence is low in this
occurring through tuesday afternoon.

cold start this morning where it is clear. these locations may
see temperatures in the single digits. cloud cover that is
across the western county warning area(cwa) will influence high
temperatures today as it only slowly erodes with its eastward
drift. cloud cover should slowly increase tonight into tuesday.
another cool night tonight with lows mostly in the teens. most
locations should warm to withing a couple degrees of freezing
on tuesday.

&&

.short term /tuesday night through thursday night/...
a clipper system approaching the great lakes region on tuesday night
into wednesday poses a tricky forecast for the forecast area. warm
advection immediately ahead of the system on tuesday night will
bring a chance for some precipitation to the area, as there is just
enough low level moisture and isentropic lift to get a trace of
precipitation. the big question is the precipitation type as there
doesn`t appear to be much ice in the cloud during this time period,
especially overnight on tuesday. therefore, we would have drizzle
over the area, and with surface temperatures below freezing, it
would be freezing drizzle. for now, have some flurries and freezing
drizzle in the forecast for tuesday night and where there is higher
confidence in precipitation, there is a better chance for the p-type
to be all snow and will just have snow for the areas in the lee of
lake erie.

the cold front passes on wednesday and cold air advection and
favorable flow over the lake presents a brief lake effect set up
before high pressure moves into the region bringing dry air and
eventually southerly flow for wednesday night into thursday. a low
pressure system over the southern plains will head northeast towards
the area on thursday. precipitation type will be tricky yet again.
the area should still be cold enough for snow to start but some warm
air advecting ahead of the low could allow for a mixed precipitation
mode at some point on thursday evening before transitioning
completely back over to snow. temperatures through the period will
be seasonable in the 30s.

&&

.long term /friday through sunday/...
the long term forecast period continues to look fairly active over
northern ohio and northwest pennsylvania. low pressure will depart
the area on friday and some residual lake effect snow will remain in
the primary snow belt. the extended guidance has become much better
aligned over the last 24 hours on the next low pressure system that
will impact the area on saturday and sunday. the guidance has slowed
to the original ecmwf solution with the periphery of the low
entering the region saturday and the low moving south of the area on
sunday. the biggest change is that the low has nudged further south,
entering the blue ridge and smoky mountain region, rather than the
upper ohio valley, but there are several days before the final track
becomes entirely clear. regardless, the forecast area remains on the
cold side of the system so all precipitation would be snow and
accumulating snow seems likely at some point during the weekend.
with this, will continue the trend of pops upwards into the likely
category for the entire area saturday and the eastern half of the
forecast area for sunday. temperatures will start seasonable but
this weekend system will draw some arctic, canadian air and will
trend temperatures down starting saturday.

&&

.aviation /06z monday through friday/...
added some patchy dense fog to the forecast along the eastern
edge of the lower clouds this morning. the worst of the fog
will be across the mid ohio region.

otherwise mvfr cloud cover off of lake erie will continue to
impact kfdy and maybe touch ktol through 14z. as winds begin to
shift more to the north and northwest through the morning the
mvfr cloud cover should move eastward. ceilings should slowly
lift through the afternoon with all locations vfr by sunset.

light and variable winds through mid morning becoming north to
northwest. speeds this afternoon should be 5 to 10 knots.

outlook...non-vfr possible tuesday night into wednesday in
light snow. non-vfr possible again thursday/thursday night.

&&

.marine...
a broad area of high pressure stretches across the
great lakes region this morning and will slowly ebb southeast
out of the area tomorrow. with this, expecting generally light
and variable flow on the lake today and for the first half of
tomorrow. winds will start picking up out of the southwest on
tuesday as a clipper system approaches the northern lakes. flow
could be strong enough on tuesday night to warrant a small craft
advisory. a cold front will cross the lake on wednesday as this
clipper departs the great lakes and flow will shift around to
the northwest by wednesday afternoon. will expect waves to build
in the near shore areas at this time, which may reach over 4
feet. high pressure will build across the eastern lakes on
wednesday night into thursday and light and variable flow will
return to the area. low pressure moving northeast into the area
will begin impacting the lake on thursday night into friday and
southeasterly flow will increase on the lake during this time,
eventually shifting back around to the northwest as the low
departs on friday.

Everything is dual: futurism and classicism swirl in a palette dominated by black, beige and brown. Transparency and see-through give consistency to Fendi’s free-flowing lightness, playing with volumes and materials.

In the past, I would have applauded black, beige, and brown colors for clothing with greys used too, but Kaffe Fassett has influenced me lately. I think that Kaffe would be appalled by only those three colors, and I agree.

Now maybe the browns exist in a warm, reddish brown and a cool, near black brown. Instead of black or charcoal, I would use light, medium, and dark greys. In addition to beige, I would add a dull yellow, such as Naples yellow hue.
