On Wed, Dec 13, 2017, we received a small snowfall of 3.5 inches with most of the snow falling in the afternoon and evening hours. My wife Debbie, our dog Barney, and I went for neighborhood walks to enjoy the snow. I had a feeling that the snow and cold would not stay around long, and it didn't.
Early Wednesday evening, Deb and I walked to El Camino for dinner in the evening. It snowed nice during our walk home. It's only a mile away, if that.
My dog Barney and I went for a long walk around our West Toledo neighborhood after 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday night. We arrived home after Midnight. The neighborhood streets were snow covered. Most sidewalks, naturally, were not cleared. The snow was fluffy and light and fun to slosh through. And it happened to snow hard while we were out. Moderate intensity at times. Maybe the hardest that it snowed all day and night.
Barney and I we went for a walk the next morning, which had a clear, bright blue sky that caused the snow to sparkle.
The snow melted away on Mon, Dec 18, due to mild temps and light rain. Short winter. Good thing we enjoyed it while it lasted. That's typical for us. Up and down weather. Our temps were near 50 degrees today. We'll be back in the 20s for highs on Christmas.
The nighttime photos don't show it, but it snowed hard when I took the photos. It was quiet, during our walk. Temp was around 20 degrees, maybe the upper teens. The wind gusted at times, but mostly it was not windy. The bonus at this time of the year are the Christmas lights that adorn some homes.
